John Peterson

John O. Peterson, 80, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away peacefully at 12:40 p.m. Friday, May 5, 2017 at Baptist Health Paducah. He was born in Mason City, Iowa and lived the first eight years of his life in Argentina. He was a Pharamacutical Salesman for 34 years. John was a member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Male High School in Louisville, Kentucky, Murray State University and he completed additional studies to become a Certified Medical Representive. John served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was activated again during the Berlin Crisis.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Donna Jean Cruce Peterson of Paducah, Kentucky; daughter, Christina Peterson of Paducah, Kentucky; son, Dr. John Chad Peterson and wife Erin of Erlanger, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Trinity Peterson, Alex Peterson, Owen Peterson and two nieces.

John was preceded in death by a brother, James C. Peterson. His parents were Orin J. Peterson and Rose Anderson Peterson.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jeff Wallace officiating.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
