Joyce Walker

Joyce Walker, age 72, of Paducah passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024 at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center. 

Joyce was a long time member of the Lone Oak First Baptist Church and a 1968 graduate of Lone Oak High School.  Joyce was born on February 18, 1951 to Charlie and Elizabeth Sanderson Strong.  She retired from USEC as an escort.  Joyce loved family and spending quality time with her grandchildren.  Hobbies included sewing, canning and cooking.  Joyce was a fan of her Coke-Cola soda.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Butch Walker; two daughters, Jennifer (Mike) Scheer and Jill Davis both of Paducah; four grandchildren, Kayla (Logan) Thomas, Joshua (Abigail) Scheer, Colten Davis and Makenzie Davis; great-grand child, Milo Thomas and great-grandchild son coming in July; two sisters Elizabeth Ann (Bill) Farrell, Hopkinsville, KY and Margaret McDonald, Memphis, TN; three brothers, Richard (Barbara) Strong, FL, Charles Strong, Paducah and Eddie (Cora) Strong, AL; several nieces and nephews.

Preceding in death was her parents, Charlie and Elizabeth Strong.

Services will be held Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Wallace officiating.  Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
