Julia Small

Julia "Judy" Thompson Small, 84, of Paducah, Ky., passed away at 3:40 a.m. Monday, August 30, 2010, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.

She was born in Walters, La.

Judy was the owner of United Propane Gas Company. She was a member of Strathmoor Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons, Eric T. Small of Paducah, Ky., and Craig (Teresa) T. Small of Paducah, Ky.; sister, Loudie Taylor of Deville, La.; grandchildren, Laura Jane (Dan) Walsh and Julie (Shaun) Thompson Smith and Braxton (Jack) Small; great-grandchildren, Virginia Walsh, Jane Ellis Walsh, Shelby Smith and Maggie Smith; and several nieces and nephews

Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Ethlar (Jack) Small; a granddaughter, Erica Hilary Small; and one sister; and two brothers. Her parents were Ivy Sterlon Thompson and Nannie Laurence Thompson.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 1, 2010, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Tommy Tucker officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
