Juliet Ray Bevins Turner, 68, of Paducah, died Wednesday at Lourdes Hospital.
Julie was born in Beach Creek, KY on February 8, 1947 to the late Buford and Bessie (Ferguson) Bevins. For many years, Julie worked as a CNA and in the dietary department for several local nursing homes. She was of the Baptist faith. An avid quilter, Julie made numerous quilts that were given to family members and donated to charity auctions. She was a nurturing woman who was devoted to her family. She also loved animals and looked after many strays.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Lonnie Turner; two children, Rodney Crounch and Troy Turner both of Paducah; step-children, Renee Fowler and husband Mike of Ledbetter, Diana Bryant and husband Mike of Hamilton, NC, Bill Turner and wife Libby of Aurora, and Tim Turner and wife Connie of Benton; siblings, Creatie Mitchell of Princeton, Judy Nethery of Paducah, Gladys Ferguson of Owensboro, and Curt Bevins of Paducah; twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Crounch; and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday at Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Rudesill officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 11am Saturday at the funeral home.
