Lee Ort, 74, of Paducah died at 10:27 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2007, at Western Baptist Hospital.
Mr. Ort was a retired 30-year employee of Western Baptist Hospital who enjoyed working in the yard and taking outdoor walks. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy M. Ort; his children, Kenneth Ort of Cadiz, David Ort of Fredonia, Charlotte Ramsey of Paducah, Danny Bottoms of New Caney, Texas, Mike Bottoms of Paducah, Irene Oxford of Stafford, Texas, June Bady of Conroe, Texas, Cecil Bottoms of Paducah and Kaylene Cuevas of Paducah; 23 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia Ann Ort; three sisters, Mary L. Benson, Betty Ann Ort and Joyce Marie Ort; and three brothers, Charlie Ashlock, Cecil Ort and Raymond Ort. His parents were Edward and Vina Louis Ort.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at Roth Funeral Chapel. The Rev, Jimmy Franks will officiate, with burial in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends and family may call fromm 5 to 8 Monday, June 4,2007, at the funeral home.
