Letha Dycus, Lone Oak, KY
Letha Dycus, 80 of Lone Oak, KY died at 8:15 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Baptist Health Paducah.
Letha was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a homemaker whose gift was "hospitality." Letha knew how to make everyone feel welcome in her home, even opening her home to young people looking for a place to live for the summer while they worked or went to school. Letha was a faithful member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was also a volunteer over 45 years at Western Baptist Hospital Auxiliary.
Survivors include three sons, Mark Dycus and wife, Nancy, of Murray, KY, Michael "Mike" Dycus of Paducah, KY and Jeffrey Dycus and wife Greta, of Livingston County; six grandchildren, Amanda Ray (Richie), Teresa Dowdy, DeeAnna Natividad, David Dycus, Laura Dycus and Alex Dycus (Moriah); three great-grandchildren, Nina Natividad, Bryan Hall, Amberlyn Hall; one sister, Mary Horner Cossiboom and husband, Wes; two nephews, Eric Horner (Debby) and Eddie Finley (Heather); one niece, Reeda Miller (Ron).
Preceding her in death was husband, Ronald Hall Dycus; parents, Harold & Cornelia Hicks Gorham, sister, Anna Gorham Finley and one nephew, Marlon Finley.
Services will be held Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lone Oak First Baptist Church with Rev. Stan Reid and Dr. Dan Summerlin officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
The Dycus family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the church.
