Linda Joan England

Mrs. Linda Joan Pirtle England, age 77, of West Paducah, Kentucky went to her Heavenly Home at 1:16pm on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.  

Linda was born on Saturday, November 9, 1946 in Paducah, Kentucky to the late Stanley and Arrie Lee (Tackett) Pirtle. She graduated with an Associate’s Degree from Paducah Community College in 1966. After 32 years, Linda retired in 1998 as a Senior Service Assistant for Prudential Insurance Company.

She enjoyed spending time outdoors working in the yard tending to her many beautiful flowers. Kentucky Lake was also a favorite place of hers to spend time boating with her husband. She loved to cook delicious meals and playing with her late dog, Brewtus, and grand-dogs, Sassy and Piper. Her fondest memories were watching her kids compete in many different sports as she was their number one fan. Linda was also a huge supporter of Murray State and UK basketball rarely missing any televised games.

Those left to cherish many wonderful memories include her husband of 54 years, James Milton England; her son, Jamie England (Jackie) of West Paducah, KY; her daughter, Dr. Lindsay England (fiancé, Tracy Harris) of Birmingham, AL.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Nancy Nichols (husband Bill) and Vicki Knight; her brother Robert “Bob” Pirtle (wife Marilyn).

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Stan Durrett officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
