Lois "Spange" Rodgers, 80, of Paducah passed away at 3 a.m. Thursday, March 25, 2010, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.
Spange was born in Washington, N.J., on August 1, 1929. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Paducah. She attended Murray State University, majoring in music and physical education. Spange was an avid bowler and served as president and vice president of the Kentucky WBA, the Paducah WBA and the "600" Club. She also bowled in 30 consecutive WIBC tournaments and was also a state delegate to the WIBC. Spange was a member of the Kentucky and the Paducah Bowlers Hall of Fame. She was also an avid University of Kentucky Wildcats fan.
Mrs. Rodgers is survived by her husband, Alton "Ocie" Rodgers of Paducah; and several nieces and nephews in Washington, N.J., Jacksonville, Fla., and Nashville, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Anna Mae (Armbrecht) Spangeberg; and sister, Jean Pence.
Funeral services for Lois "Spange" Rodgers will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2010, at the Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Jamie Broome and the Rev. Michael Pence officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call after noon on Saturday, March 27, 2010, at the funeral home.
