Lovette Hawes, 83, of Paducah passed away Monday at 6:55 a.m. at Western Baptist Hospital.
Lovette was a native of Melber, Ky., a member of Melber Baptist Church and retired from Florsheim Shoe Factory.
Services will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Cruse officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
She is survived by two sons, Boyce Hawes and wife Nancy and David Hawes and wife Marsha, all of Paducah; one sister, LaRue King of Lone Oak, Ky.; two grandsons, Chad Hawes and wife Robin of Paducah, Ky., and Kyle Hawes of Lexington, Ky.; two great-grandchildren, Anna Kate Hawes and Carter B. Hawes; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Hawes; parents, Rev. Byron and Dula May Clark Cullen; one sister, Almetta Wilkerson; and one brother, Boyce Cullen.
