Mamie Anderson

Mamie Hall Anderson, age 85, of Symsonia, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Baptist Health.

She was a member of Clarks River Baptist Church and a retired supervisor of Florsheim Shoe Company.

Survivors include one daughter, Janice (James) Watkins of Symsonia; one brother, Willard (Minnie Lee) Ivy of Hickory; two sisters, Eva (Harmon) Hopwood and Sue (J.E.) Scoggins, both of Hickory; three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her first husband, Shemwell Hall Jr.; second husband, James Crass; third husband, Bill Anderson; brother, Claude Ivy; and sister, Margaret Boyett. Her parents were Houston and Clara May Ivy.

Funeral services for Mrs. Anderson will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, August 30, 2014 at the Byrn Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Watts and Jim Boyd officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Larry Don Howard, Richard Scoggins, Bobby Smith, Jerry Cox, Kenny Milligan and Ray Keith Mathis.

Visitation will be from 5-8 tonight, Friday, August 29, 2014 at the funeral home.
