Margaret Meriwether Jett, 104, of Paducah, KY, passed away on Wednesday August 2, 2017 at Superior Care Home of Paducah.
Mubba, as she was known by those close to her, was born in LaCenter, Ky on June 30, 1913 to John and Marcia Meriwether. She was a charter member of Concord United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and a talented seamstress.
Mubba is survived by two daughters, Margaret Ann Linderman of Paducah, Jane Carol Tucker of Calvert City; three sons, Jerry Jett of Paducah, Charles "Charlie" Jett of Paducah, Maurice Jett and wife Cindy of Houston Texas; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Homer Lee Jett; one daughter, Donna Lee Jett; her parents, John Wilds Meriwether and Marcia Viets Meriwether; and two brothers, William Hobert Meriwether, and John Meriwether.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah, with John Linderman officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 until 2:00 PM Sunday, at the funeral home.
