Michael W. Koebel Sr., 68, of Benton passed away on Sunday September 24, 2017 at Baptist Health Paducah (LTACH).
Mr. Koebel was a Kentucky Colonel and a retired electrician from ISP Chemical. He was a believer in Christ, and was proud of his service to the fire brigade and emergency team at ISP.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Kathy Koebel of Benton; three sons, Michael Koebel Jr. and fiancé Mitzi Shields of Benton, Charles (Karri) Koebel of Benton, Burt (Stephanie) Koebel of Hardin; one brother, Alan Koebel Jr. of Dawson Springs; one sister, Diane Thompson of Hickory; seven grandchildren, Charlotte Koebel, Cody Koebel, Cecillia Murray, Phillip Koebel, Chance Koebel, Jonathan Koebel, Katherine Koebel; one great-grandchild to be born in February; four nephews; and two nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alan Koebel Sr. and Mary Vines- Koebel.
Funeral service will be at 11:00am on Wednesday September 27, 2017 at Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Homer Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may visit the family from 5:00pm - 8:00pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
