Naomi Hawes

Naomi Bearden Hawes, age 85 of Paducah, passed away at 10:25 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2019 at Parkview Nursing & Rehab Center. Naomi was a member of Melber Baptist Church where she served as pianist for many years and was a member of Women’s Missionary Union and a homemaker. She was a 1951 graduate of Lone Oak High School. Naomi worked at Kresge & K-Mart Cafeteria.

Survivors include four daughters, Belinda (Tommy) Vaughn of Mayfield, KY, Teresa (David) Utley of Paducah, KY, Sandra Hawes of Paducah, KY and Tracey (Aden) Pegram of Paducah, KY; one son, Jerry Roy (Lisa) Hawes of Paducah, KY; four grandchildren, Wesley (Jessica) Gargus, Brent (Felicia) Gargus, Cole Hawes and Casey Hawes; four great-grandchildren, Jessie Gargus, Payton Whitenton, Brayden Gargus and Zaxton Gargus; five step-grandchildren; special nephew, David (Marsha) Hawes; several nieces and nephews; one sister-in-law, Weline Hawes of Paducah, KY.

Preceding in death was her husband, Roy Woodrow Hawes; parents, Audie Denver Bearden & Martha Zula Rudolph Bearden; three sisters, Ettelene Bearden, Oneida Rader and Virginia “Jenkie” Sharpe; one brother, Buster Bearden.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2019 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Revs. Ronnie Stinson, Jr. & Nathan Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 28, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
