Graveside services for Ola Mae Gordon, age 92, of Telephone, TX will be at 3:00pm on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Memorial Garden Cemetery in Lone Oak, KY. Family will provide the eulogy. Family visitation will be Friday, October 21, 2016 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham, TX from 6-8 pm. Mrs. Gordon passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at her home.
Ola Mae (Rodgers) Gordon was born in Gary, TX on July 17, 1924 to Oscar and Mary Jane (Shires) Rodgers. She married Marshall Roland Gordon in 1940 in Marshall, TX; he preceded her in death in 1995. Ola was a homemaker, a member of the Eastern Star, and a member or Telephone Baptist Church. "Granny" was loved by all who knew her. She was a feisty, colorful character, and loved everyone. Her smile and sweet spirit gave many an example of Gods love.
She is survived by daughter, Peggie Carlile and husband Joe of Telephone, TX; grandchildren; Ron Schriner and wife Venus; Amber Gordon, and Adam Gordon; 3 step granddaughters; great grandson, Weston Dale Gordon; 7 step great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Also preceding her in death are her parents, 2 brothers, and 7 sisters.
