Oneta Rambo Richards, 93, of Kevil, KY, passed away at 12:30 am Sunday, May 10, 2015 at Metropolis Rehabilitation & Health Care Center. She was a homemaker.
Oneta was born in Hickman County on July 14, 1921 to Irvin and Bessie Rambo. She was the oldest member of Lovelaceville Baptist Church where she faithfully served for 43 years. She was a member of the Ceredo Homemakers for over 30 years and worked with the 4-H Council. She will be remembered as a dedicated, loving, hard working, farmer's wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.
She is survived by her sons, Harold Richards and wife Dorothy, of Austin, IN and Wayne Richards of Paducah, KY; her daughters, Faye Haney and husband Ronnie, of Barlow, KY and Kaye Richards Starks and husband Kerry, of Paducah, KY; her sister, Vida Burnett and husband Carl, of Paducah, KY; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Tommy Richards; her parents, Irvin Rambo and Bessie Wilson Rambo; her son, Gene Richards; two sisters and two brothers.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Whitey Elliott will officiate. Her grandsons will serve as Pallbearers. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Disabled American Veterans, 1133 Murray Ave., Paducah, KY 42003.
