Ophelia Lowe, age 95, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away at 7:46 a.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Parkview Nursing & Rehab . Ophelia was a member of Twelve Oaks Baptist Church and was a Sunday School teacher for 60 years. Ophelia was a floral designer at Cherry the Florist, a sales clerk at J.C. Penney and also worked at the gift shop at Fern Lake Cherry House. Ophelia was an editor for Shopper News and a columist writer for Paducah Sun Age. She was a Duchess of Paducah, Kentucky Colonel and a member of Business Professional Women's Club.
Survivors include one daughter, Dixie (Dwight) Seat of Newbern, Tennessee; two sons, Tommy (Linda) Lowe and Doug Lowe both of Paducah, Kentucky; one sister, Elsie Fly, Hutchison, Kansas; eight grandchildren, Mark Seat, Tracy (Ken) Jones, Jennifer (Jason) Clark, Heather Mallard, Shane (Allison) Lowe, Kimberly Ann (Skippy) Hesling, Cassidy Lowe and Lori Wildoner; eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; several neices and nephews.
Preceding in death was husband, Tom H. Lowe; parents, Thomas Marvin Adams & Lubie Morrow Adams, one grand-daughter, Tammy Sutton; four sisters, Marie Walden, Ruth Gibbs, Pearl Adams and Albernette Willis; one brother, Paul Adams.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 16, 2018 at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Nolen officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 11:00 a.m.until service time of 1:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
