SYMSONIA, Ky. - Oval W. "Bub" Crenshaw, 83, of Symsonia died Saturday, January 24, 2009, at Western Baptist Hospital.
Bub was retired from the Kentucky Highway Department and was the former owner and operator of the Shoe Department for Weillies Clothing Store and the Trade Shop.
He was a member and Deacon Emeritus of First Christian Church of Paducah. He was a member of the Lone Oak Lions Club, Plain City Masonic Lodge No. 449 F&AM, a 50 year member of The Clara Henrich Chapter No. 424 of The Eastern Star, Rizpah Shrine Temple and the Paducah Motor Patrol of the Shrine Temple for Parades.
Bub is survived by his wife, Susie Kaler Crockett Crenshaw; one son, Larry Crenshaw of Denver; one sister, Imogene Williams of Paducah; one brother, Jewell Crenshaw of Mayfield; two grandchildren, Todd and Matt Crenshaw of Denver; four great-grandchildren, Peyton, Tyler, McKenna and Megan Crenshaw, all of Denver; one sister-n-law, Alva Overby House of Paducah; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia Peyton Crenshaw, and a sister, Marguerite Sledd. His parents were Claude and Rosella Alexander Crenshaw.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. today, January 26, 2009, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Jae Gottman and the Rev. Rick Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
