Patricia Ann “Trisha” Hoffman Leary died on Wednesday, April 17 2019 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Center in Paducah, Ky. She was a resident of Boaz, Ky and was born in St. Louis, Mo. on November 4, 1948.She was the only girl the boys would allow to play baseball with them. She moved to the area in 2001 to be near her three grandsons Tyler, Ryan, and River.She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the First Baptist of Paducah.
Trisha was a 1989 graduate of St. Petersburg Junior College with a Associate Degree that qualified here to work as an X-Ray technologist which she did in a number of hospitals.
She operated a home business until the decline of her health in 2017. She enjoyed many activities such as making hand- made crafts. She published her own newspaper in New Hampshire . Her other interests were woodworking, birdhouses and other crafts involving wood such as burning photos and other images on wood.
She is survived by her husband of 21 yrs R J Leary, her siblings Charles A Hoffman and Cheryl L Hoffman . She is survived by her children, a son James “Lance” Borders of Exeter, NH and daughter Angela Sue Borders ( Rick) Murt of Boaz, Ky as well as three grandsons Richard”(Tyler) Murt of Boaz, currently attending UK in Lexington Ky, Ryan Todd Murt currently stationed in El Paso, Texas and currently deployed in Afghanistan as a member of the U.S. Army. River Travis Murt is a 9th grader at McCracken Co. High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph Martin and Rosemary Hoffman, two brothers Robert E Hoffman and Martin R Hoffman and one sister Carolyn S Hoffman Langdon.
