Paul Graves

July 6, 1925 — February 26, 2013

Paul E. Graves, 87, of Paducah died Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at 6:17 p.m. at Superior Care Nursing Home.

Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he obtained the World War II Victory Ribbon and the European Middle Eastern Theatre Ribbon. Paul worked with the Little League Program in the 1950s and took a keen interest in the Historical Society. He was a former member of the Lone Oak Lions Club. His hobbies included being a coin collector and stamp collector. He retired from Martin Marietta, where he served as an Estimate Planner. Paul loved pets and had numerous granddogs.

Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Betty Frances Sears Graves; two daughters, Pamela (Anthony) Antinori, Tampa, Fla., and Rebecca Sowell (Dan) Caneer, Paducah, Ky.; two grandchildren, Christopher (Simone) Antinori and Kira (Ricky) Barnes; three great-grandchildren, Zoe Antinori, Karsyn Barnes and Aidan Barnes; one sister, Emma Jean (Berle) Wilson, Nashville, Tenn., and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Andrew Campbell and Emma Lou Ashworth Graves; two sisters and four brothers.

A private family funeral service will be held Saturday, March 2, 2013, with the Rev. Cory Aker officiating. Private burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, March 1, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
