Paul Hawes

Paul Chester Hawes, age 83, of Paducah, KY, passed away at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, August 24, 2015 at Barkley Center in Paducah.

Mr. Hawes was a graduate of Melber High School. Paul was a retired custodian of Lone Oak High School. He enjoyed gardening and raising vegetables, and was a member and usher of Southland Baptist Temple and a former member and Deacon of Oaklawn Baptist Church.

Mr. Hawes is survived by his wife of 31 yrs., Weline Gau Hawes; two daughters, Paula Sue Vaujin and husband Mike of Tucson, AZ, and Brenna Kaye Hamilton of Pinellas Park, FL; one step daughter, Shelia Moore of Wright City, MO; one son, Jeff Hawes and wife Lori of St. Petersburg, FL; six grandchildren, five step grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; one sister in law, Naomi Hawes of Paducah, KY; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two step- sons, Howard Michael Pogue and Mark Edward Pogue; two brothers, Roy Hawes and William Hawes. His parents were, William Talmage Hawes and Sallie Gray Hawes.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 28, 2015 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Topper Council officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
