Paul Hobbs

July 7, 1930 — July 16, 2014

Paul Herschel Hobbs, 84, of West Paducah, formerly of Troy, Michigan, went to be with His Lord and Savior at 9:40 pm July, 16, 2014 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.

Mr. Hobbs was a retired Machinist and Plant Manager for Beaver Precision Products in Troy Michigan and more recently he was a Load Center Manager for Ingersoll Rand. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and he was a past member of Bible Baptist Church in Troy Michigan where he served as a deacon and was on the financial board.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Mary L. Mathews Hobbs; one daughter, Norma Holbrook and husband Frank of Martin Tennessee; one son, Earl Hobbs and wife Norma of Paducah; two sisters, Mary Ann Eskew of Chicago Illinois, Jo Ann Hoppe of Cumming Georgia; two brothers Joe Ed Hobbs of Mayfield, George Hobbs of Madison Heights Michigan; four grandchildren, Allicia Lucas, Terri Peeler, Joee Hobbs, Paul Rohrer; six great grandchildren, Samuel Lucas, Nora Lucas, Myra Peeler, Ean Peeler, Scott Rohrer, Olivia Rohrer; 16 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.

Mr. Hobbs was preceded in death by one sister, Mary C. Mix; and one brother, James Hobbs. His parents were Joseph R. Hobbs and Elnora Bailey Hobbs.

Funeral services for Mr. Hobbs will be 11:00 am Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, July 18, 2014 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
