Paul Eugene Park - 89, of Paducah died Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at his home.
Paul was born in Paducah February 15, 1924, to the late Novice Clyde Park and Florence Efficine Shoulta Park. He served in the United States Army with the Elite 10th Mountain Division in Italy during World War II. Paul was a 45-year member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where he was a longtime greeter and usher. He retired from the maintenance department of Union Carbide after 30 years of service. His hobbies were gardening, farming, and raising beef cattle, cars, horses and water sports.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Juanita "Nita" Park; daughter, Jennie Park Freels and husband Butch of Paducah; son, Paul Bruce Park and wife Helen of Greenville, Texas; two grandchildren, Louis E. Park and wife Natosha, and Melissa Tran and husband Andrew; and two great-grandchildren, MaddieClaire Park and MaveryRose Park.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Louise Wallace; and his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013, at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Corey Aker officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Friday, April 26, 2013, evening from 5-7 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
