Paul Everett Sanderson, 89, of Paducah died Thursday, February 5, 2009, at Western Baptist Hospital.
A funeral service will be held Sunday, February 8, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
Visitation will begin at noon Sunday until the funeral hour. A private burial will be held Monday at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Paul was born in Lone Oak on May 30, 1919, to the late Levi and Ava (McKinney) Sanderson. He was the comptroller for the BF Goodrich Chemical Plant in Calvert City. He attended Lone Oak schools, Paducah Junior College, the University of Kentucky and Western Kentucky University. He also served in the U.S. Navy as a submariner during World War II. He was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church of Paducah.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Frances; two sons, Gary of Montgomery, Ala., and Mark Rockne of Warner Robins, Ga.; three grandchildren, Alan Sanderson of Raleigh, N.C., Parke Sanderson of Auburn, Ala., and Tiffany Crisp of Warner Robins, Ga.; and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Anita Padgett of Lone Oak and Marian Peter of Azusa, Calif.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Bob Sanderson.
