Rebecca Womble

Rebecca “Becky” Womble, 65, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away at 11:53 P.M. Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.

Becky was born in Cairo, Illinois on May 10, 1954 to Archie and Emma Womble. Becky worked at Lourdes Hospital and retired in 2011.

For many years she attended Melber Baptist Church where she enjoyed working with children’s ministry. In more recent years she attended Twelve Oaks Baptist Church where she participated in the churchchoir. She was a great animal lover, especially her three dogs, Max, Mattie and Baby.

Miss Womble is survived by her sister, Barbara Womble, of Paducah; her brother, Dr. Phillip C. Womble and her sister-in-law, Sharri Phelps-Womble, of Nashville, Tennessee.

Miss Womble is the daughter of the late Archie C. Womble and Emma Womble.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 22, 2019 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Bro. Brandt Lyon officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Friday, June 21, 2019 at the Lone Oak Chapel.
