Ricky Bond

Ricky D. Bond I, affectionately known as "Pappy Rick" went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 18th, 2014. He was of the Baptist faith.

Pappy Rick was born on October 26, 1954. He was a graduate of Reidland High School and Blackhawk Barber College. He was an active member of Oasis Christian Center.

Pappy was a Paducah Chapter Elder of Bikers for Christ from 2008-February 2014. He was a member of Patriot Guard Riders and passionate about his work with Tent City Missions, Lighthouse Women's Home and was a chaplain with the McCracken County Jail Ministries.

Pappy had a huge heart for his family. He was a loving husband, son, brother and friend. He was a proud dad and a prouder Pappy. But most importantly, he loved his Heavenly Father.

Pappy Rick is survived by his wife, Valarie Trevathan Bond of Paducah; his mother, Sue Bond Meeks and grandmother, Estelle Duckett, both of Paducah; one brother, Terry W. Bond I (Thea) of Union City, TN; a special cousin, Debbie Byers (Keith) of Paducah; two sons, Ricky D. Bond II of Bardwell, KY, and DC1 (SW/AW) Shaun C. Clement (Christy) of Key West, Fl.; five daughters, Jennifer Staggers (Scott) of Spraggs, PA, Aimee Bond Grant of Coldwater, MS and Amanda Bond Felts (John) of Bardwell, KY, Stephenie Weaver (Kevin) of Gradview, IN, and DeAnne Clement of Royston, GA.; 22 grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm Monday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Larry Starnes and Rev. Joe Vance officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.

A special thanks to the staff at Lourdes Hospital, especially ICU 3rd floor, food service and Lourdes Hospice.
