Robert Boatwright

Robert Wayne Boatwright, 76, of Reidland, KY passed away at 8:40 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at his home. Robert was a member of Rosebower Baptist Church and a 1958 graduate of Reidland High School. Robert was a proud member of IBEW Local #1816 and retired as an electrician from Air Products. Robert enjoyed his family and had a dry sense of humor when talking to his friends. Robert loved golf, camping and watching the University of Kentucky Wildcats Basketball.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty Phelps Boatwright; one daughter Vicki Lynn Boatwright Thomas and husband, Billy Joe of Reidland, KY; three grandchildren, Matthew Branson, Courtney Rushing, Samantha Shoulta; three great-grandchildren, Dalton Wayne Barrett, Alivia Shoulta, Eli Hale; two sisters-in-law, Patsy (Jack) Marshall, Joyce "Annie" Brown; one brother-in-law, Donnie (Glenda) Phelps.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Lori Ann Smith; mother, Pauline Lambert Vinson and father, Alton Boatwright.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 17, 2017 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Dr. Justin Mason and Jack Marshall offciating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with military rites. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
