Robert Nelson Jones of Paducah, Kentucky went to his heavenly home on May 29, 2018.
He was born in Loudon, Tennessee, May 18, 1938, son of the late Frank Nelson and Ida Mable (Canon) Jones.
Robert was a retired school teacher for the McCracken County Board of Education, teaching many years at Lone Oak Middle School in Paducah, Kentucky. He was a membe of the Heartland Worship Center in Paducah, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ida Jones, two sisters, Margaret Jones Petty and Mary Nelle Jones Cloud, one brother, Mac Jones and step-grandchild, Holly Noel.
Robert is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce Jones of Paducah, Kentucky; son, Gregg (Linda) Jones of Richmond, Kentucky; daughter, Sherry (Robert) Newberry of Burleson, Texas; six granchildren, Isabella, Eli, Mikayla, Rachel, Shawn and Rebecca.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2018 at Heartland Church with Rev. Don Young and Rev. Nathan Joyce officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah and after 10:00 a.m. Friday at Heartland Church.
