Roy Dewayne Wilson

DeWayne Wilson, age 72, of Paducah, formerly of Metropolis, Illinois, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023 at Stone Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation.

DeWayne was born on November 4, 1950 in Urbana, Illinois to Carl and Eureta Kersey Wilson.  He enjoyed researching his ancestry and fishing.  DeWayne was a devoted member of Oaks Church of God for many years.

DeWayne is survived by his aunt, Dean Grace of Metropolis; foster sister, Anna Jean Abney of Metropolis, along with several cousins.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Carla Ruth Wilson; one brother, Wesley Wilson, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Oaks Church of God with Rev. Richard Dobbs officiating. Inurnment will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
