Karon "Shep" Sheppard, 84, of Paducah, passed away at 10:35 a.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Baptist Health Paducah.
Mr. Sheppard was a retired construction worker for Industrial Floor & Coatings. He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran, a member of the former 12th St. Baptist Church, Gold Wing Road Riders Club and a Mason with Temple Hill Masonic Lodge #276.
Shep is survived by his wife of 56 years, Wilma Sue Carman Sheppard; two daughters, Beth Ann Cavanah and husband Ronnie of Paducah, Jenna Leigh Carlson and husband Jon of Paducah; four grandchildren, Kayla Marple and husband Brian of Bourbonnais, Ilinois, Kylie Cavanah of Paducah, Cody Carlson of Brookport, Illinois and Cory Carlson of Paducah; two great grandchildren, Jase Marple and Kainan Marple; a sister, Martha High of Benton, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, June Cossler. His parents were Coleman and Meddie Crass Sheppard.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. David Keyes officiating. Entombment with Military Honors will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 6, 2018 at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to, Missing Bella, P.O. Box 585 Paducah, KY 42002 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
