Thelma Mae Isbell, 93, of Paducah, passed away at 4:25 AM on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Calvert City Convalescent Center.
Mrs. Isbell was a loving wife and mother, a homemaker, and a member of Oaklawn Baptist Church.
She is survived by four daughters, Ann Tucker (Leroy) of Paducah, Mildred Sherbert (Maynard) of Wakefield, KS., Janis Gilliland (David) of Covington, GA., Cheryl Hathcock (Jerry) of Benton; one sister, Gladys Walsh (Jack) of Hardmoney, ten grandchildren, Daniel Tucker, Craig Tucker, Mae Horn, Michelle Land, Michael Sherbert, Dave Gilliland, Donnie Gilliland, Dinicia Stephens, Vincent Hathcock, Amanda Hibbs; fifteen great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Sgt. Major Shadie C. Isbell; parents, Sam and Prillie (Cox) Owens; two brothers, Herb Owens, Howard Owens; sister, Hilda Floyd; infant sister, Nona Sue Owens.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Hughes Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Tommy Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Paducah.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to service time on Sunday at the funeral home.
