Thirza Gourley

Thirza Jane Gourley, age 83, of Carrsville, KY passed away on Friday, August 24, 2018 at Salem Spring Lake Health and Rehab.

Mrs. Gourley was born on March 5, 1935 to the late, John and Lottie Welby McCuiston. She was a former member of Heartland Church and current member of Carrsville Pentecostal Church. Thirza will be remembered by those she loved as being a sweet, helpful woman who was friendly to everyone and always wore a smile on her face. She enjoyed flowers, collecting books and anything that had a cow on it.

Mrs. Gourley is survived by her husband of 36 years, Cloyce Wayne Gourley; her two daughters, Cindy Quertermous and husband, Billy of Smithland and Rhonda Lee of Smithland; her four sisters, Barbara Aldridge of Eddyville, Joan Hill of Puryear, TN, Brenda Kennedy of Sonora, KY and Jean McDougal and husband, Cordie of Puryear, TN; her brother, Mike McCuiston and wife, Patty of Puryear, TN; four stepchildren, Ronald Wayne Gourley, Randal Blaine Gourley, Ricky Dale Gourley and Rhonda Wilhoite; four grandchildren, Corey (Sabrina) Quertermous, Adam Quertermous, Marley Lee and Cleo Lee; six great-grandchildren, Dalton Quertermous, Brea Quertermous, Luke Quertermous, Kaydon Lee, Isaiah Lee and Seniada Yaw; and six step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Janice Hall.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 on Monday, August 27, 2018 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Pastor Mac Dowsett and Johnny Draffen officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the 12:00 service time on Monday, August 27, 2018 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
