Thomas Carter

Tommy Carter, 65, of Paducah, passed away at 12:58 a.m. Friday, November 29, 2013, at his residence.

Mr. Carter was born in Paducah on December 31, 1947 to Thomas and Katherine (Krug) Carter. He was a graduate of St. Mary High School and a 1974 graduate of Murray State University where he received his B.S. in Wildlife Biology. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Paducah. He was employed as a lab analyst for Honeywell where he worked for 27 years. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. He served his country in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Coughlin) Carter of Paducah; a son, Vince Carter and wife Courtney of Paducah; granddaughter, Daisy Lynn Carter of Paducah; brother-in-law, Dr. Jim Williams of Atlanta, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Carroll Williams.

Funeral services for Tommy Carter will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, December 2, 2013, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Tommy Tucker officiating. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until the funeral hour Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2013, in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
