Vernon Earl Reynolds, age 82, of Paducah, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023.
Vernon was born in Unionville, Illinois on September 14, 1940 to Arel and Zula Medley Reynolds. He worked as a carpenter for 26 years with Ray Black and Sons and then owned his own construction company with his sons, Vernon Reynolds and Sons, for 16 years. He enjoyed camping and had a passion for horses and enjoyed riding, showing, trimming and shoeing all horses, but espescially his favorite horse, Pearl. Vernon was an honest, hard-working man that loved his family deeply and loved spending time with his grandkids. He was mechanically inclined and enjoyed fixing anything that was broken. Vernon was also a master electrician. He was a member of Southland Baptist Temple and Carpenters Local #357.
Vernon is survived by one daughter, Teena Martin (Brad) of Paducah; two sons, Reggie Reynolds (Amanda) of Symsonia, Victor Reynolds (Patty) of Boaz; seven grandchildren, Ashley Martin, Aimee Martin, Amber Reynolds, Andrea Reynolds, Dalton Reynolds, Colton Reynolds, Isaac Reynolds; six great-grandchildren, Audrey Reynolds, Arabella Reynolds, Brantley Croley, Luke Croley, Holly Croley, Kyzer Marshall; one sister-in-law, Bernice Reynolds of Metropolis, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Donnie May Hondroes Reynolds; three brothers, Raymond Reynolds, Charles Reynolds, Bob Reynolds, and his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Tommy Tucker officiating. Burial will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
