Violet Rideout, 84, of Bardwell died at 12:20 AM Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at her residence.
Mrs. Rideout was a sales clerk at Paducah Dry Goods and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Paducah.
She is survived by 4 sons, Raymond P. Rideout of Paducah, Eugene Rideout of Bardwell, Glen Rideout of Bardwell, Vernon Rideout of Bardwell; one daughter, Connie Sparks of Metropolis; one brother, Leo Eakins of Phoenix, AZ; one sister, Deloris Rigsby of Eugene, OR; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Rideout; two daughters, Cathy Myrick, Sharon Rideout; son, Michael Rideout; parents, Holloway and Margaret Eakins; three brothers; one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Hughes Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Corey Aker and Rev. Paul Donner officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens of Paducah.
Visitation will be after 5:00 PM Friday, September 5, 2014 at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Lourdes Hospice, P.O. Box 7100, Paducah, KY 42002-7100.
