Virginia V. Lindblad of Paducah, the matriarch of the Lindblad family, passed away at 7:45 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2008, at Lourdes hospital. She was 86.
Mrs. Lindblad was a member of Heartland Worship Center and was lovingly devoted to her grandchildren.
Surviving are three sons, Jim Lindblad, Larry Lindblad (Patti), and Jackie Lindblad (Claudia), all of Paducah; one daughter, Carolyn Adams (Eddy) of Paducah; one brother, Pat Denson of Scottsboro, Ala.; three granddaughters, Julie Ruggles (Sam) of Kansas City, Mo., and Laura Danby (Matt) and Jenny Cummins, both of Paducah; three grandsons, Brent Adams, Mike Lindblad (Julie), and Jason Lindblad, all of Paducah; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon W. Lindblad; one grandson, Jared Lindblad; one granddaughter, Janah Lindblad; one sister; and two brothers. Her parents were Willard Denson and Fannie Wright.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 3, 2008, at Roth Funeral Chapel with Reverend Kenneth Brown and Brother Johnny Sams officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation was from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at the funeral home.
