William Burgie

Mr. William "Bill" Burgie, age 85, of Mayfield passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Mills Health & Rehab in Mayfield, KY.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, a graduate of University of Kentucky, a retired employee of Continental General Tire and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Mr. Burgie is survived by his wife of 61 years, June Fields Burgie; one daughter, Jennifer (Philip) Elder; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Beth Inman; one brother, George Burgie; and his parents, Dick and Kathleen Bowden Burgie.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
No public visitation is scheduled.
Byrn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
